I use a Scosche wireless controller velcro mounted on the handlebar to control play/pause/volume/etc. Keep the ipod or Iphone in my shirt pocket with decent earbuds. The controller works fine with up to iphone 4s but uses an adapter in the multi pin socket on the bottom of the phone or ipod that is not compatible with the new lightning pinout. If you have a hard case on the phone its necessary to trim around the socket to let the wireless adapter seat fully.

I replaced the earbud cushions with some that came with a pair of waterproof earbuds. They are ridged so they stay put better and make a better seal against wind noise so I don't have to crank the volume so loud. No problem hearing traffic. Using half helmet, rarely ride highway but did get on the interstate a couple of weeks ago and audio was good to 65 mph or so.

Well, that's fair enough. LOL. My biggest point being that you can easily move your library from one machine to another.

This can easily be done and I have, but my concern, especially on extended trips is my phone battery life. Prolly end up getting an MP3 player unless I read/learn something I like better. Could still end up with an Apple product but want to make an informed decision. Will keep reading here as well as reviews.

Samsung is beating Apple to death in the MP3 market, in phones, tablets, etc. Samsung is leading the pack in TV tech and media tech generally.
I guess I've been doing it wrong. My iMac, iPods (3) and iPhones (2) have thousands of songs and not one purchased from the apple store. Most of my CDs have been loaded and MP3s from other sources.

Default Nano

A nano is small profile. The 16 gig holds over 1800 songs. Riders Claw mounted next to the clutch lever. Ran a cord into the fairing. Comes out by the TBW cable and plugged into the radio. Simple, low tech tunes. Can't use an early iPod cause the vibration of the bike crashes the hard drive. Nano has no hard drive.

Nano or touch is best because they don't have hard drives

Ended up going with the Nano and quite happy. Keeping it on shuffle mode is a hoot as you never know what might play next. Yesterday OL and I were on a ride and Rodney Carrington came on giving us a flew laughs. I have stuff I don't hardly know what it is sometimes or where it came from.

Now for that new set of speakers and amp from J&M.....
