Default Piston Came Out of Caliper During Service. Replace or Repair Caliper?

2011 Street Glide, w/ABS.

Got a little carried away while cleaning the pistons on my front brake calipers with a shoelace & brake cleaner, and one of the pistons popped out of the bore of the caliper.

I gently pressed the piston back in the bore and cleaned up the brake fluid mess.

Am I good to go after a thorough bleeding, or should I take this opportunity and replace the compromised caliper?

Thanks

Caliper is fine. Get a seal kit and replace the seals. No biggie.

I didn't see, or look for, the seal. I just popped the piston back on the bore.

Should I now disassemble the caliper, or am I good?

I hate to have this caliper leak fluid all over the new Lyndall pads I'm about to install.

Thanks

If it were me and i popped the piston out I would at the very least replace the seal in that piston. You already have to blead the caliper because you just introduced air into it. My thought is why do one when you can do them all. Seals are cheap.

Since you have ABS, are you going to have the dealership use there Digital Tech to bleed your system? I'm sure there is someone that has done it without going to dealership & they'll tell you all about it. I'm with the dealership when it comes to ABS system.

the caliper itself isn't any different. but, for a complete bleed, after rebuilding the caliper, you can take it in and have the digital tech bleed the brakes.

Yes. The on board computer has to pulse the air out. If you dont do this , bad things can happen!
