Default One for the wizards

Electrical wizards that is. Walked in to the Harley shop and ask the salesman what the acc switch on the dash was for. It lights up. Im guessing it goes to a aux light hook up but i cant find it in the faring. So what does this aux go to and where is that elusive wire ?

It is an ignition/acc switched power source for whatever you want to add. The wire and unused plug is usually under the saet near the right side. HD sells a plug in 12v power point (lighter type) and also wired adapter that plug into it.

So, 12V garage door opener could be hardwired to the plug? Flip the switch to activate it?

I used it to wire my saddlebag guard rail lights. I liked them so much i took them off my 95 Ultra and put them on my 06 Ultra. The ACC switch is just an on/off toggle for them.
