clutch not disengaging
Last year when I put my 1994 road king away I had put a new clutch cable on. When I pull the bike back out my clutch will not disengage. But it worked fine when I put it away. I went through and redid everything the manual told me to do but nothing that I do seems to change it. I'm watching the .clutch pack move. I have tried adjusting the cable more and less. I'm not sure what else to try. Please help.

This could be the right section...but there is also a section for all evo models.
But all the HD wet clutches work the same and pretty much only about 4 parts have been changed the past 30 years...
same as always...loosen the cable
adjust the clutch mechanism
then
adjust the cable while manipulating the lever (this sets the ball and ramp mechanism).
you should now have clutch.
if you don't then check the disks, steel plates and spring ( if steel plates have warped from heat/slipping, they can't release)
if you added an incompatible fluid, that may be part of it.
if you have water in there it could be rust- if you have rust in there, you need to rebuild/replace. you don't want abrasive rust grit trapped inside a sealed primary system...wonder how the bearings are doing....
when primary is drained, the clutch retains about 20% of the old fluid and that is soaked into the disks. if a new incompatible fluid is added, it can be like water and oil in that they do not mix

That would be my guess too. Worst case is pulling the discs and cleaning it all up. Had a jeep that the clutch rusted together. Drove around half a day with a stick holding the pedal down until finally came lose. Lasted 10 more years.

WHEN is the clutch not disengaged? Cold trying to roll around the garage? That is normal to have a sticky clutch then. Warm it should drag much less but it will still drag some even warm. The fluid between the plates will make the clutch seem to not disengage but with the engine running it should be fine.
Hope this is your true problem.
