I have both kinds but take the fork ones off in summer because of engine heat. The bike looks better to me with them on.

I have the older model ones 58121-85B and never take them off. Sorry no picture handy. The looks are not that bad and once you try them and feel the difference you'll be sold on them too.

I use the fork lowers and leave them on year round. I can now wear any helmet and not get buffeting. It was a known problem when I bought the Road King so I was not surprised.

Thanks to everyone for the info. After seeing pictures and reading what you all had to say, I'm going to see about a set.

After reading what a difference they make I think I'll order a pair.

I recommend the Fork Baffle also, it helps reduce the wind coming over the front of the fuel tank. Less turbulence and "Beard Lift". Most effective on cold rides.
The Deflectors and the Baffle are good bang for the buck IMHO.

I have the newer fork lowers. I like the function but do think they "stand" out a little. I have my lowers and rims chromed and think they add a little too much. Seen them on stock lower and rims and think they "stand" out a little more.

By stand out, I mean overkill on the chrome, if that makes sense or even possible.

I had only one thing added to my Road King when I bought it. You guessed it, the fork wind deflectors. They might as well be welded on because i'm never taking them off.
