I have a Drag Specialties "Pinstripe Solo" on mine, inexpensive, looks good, comfortable, well made. I've ridden a C&C solo, sets you back on the bike farther but is much more money. The best way I have found to get the "in the bike feel" is to get the front of the bike a little higher than the rear.

There is about as much agreement when it comes to seats as their is to deciding the best oil. No good answer here other than to go to the dealer and try out the Harley brand "Demo" seats that some of the larger dealers keep in the back room. Most will let to take out a demo seat for a couple of days to try it out. They have some really comfortable seats but realize that for that kind high end comfort you are going to fork out $500-$800 for their top of the line seats. Manufactures can build really comfortable seats but they tend to reserve the best ones for optional purchases. For example, I have never seen a manufacturer ship a "Hammock" seat on a new bike. The dealer may put it on there as an option though. You can have anything you want for a price I guess.

take a look at the ultimate line....it certainly makes you feel like you are "in" the seat. don't know about back. I got one for my 102 Yamaha years ago and it certainly joined you with the bike http://ultimateseats.ca/

I also am 6' 3". This morning I installed a Mustang Wide Solo with back rest (studded). I had been riding a Mustang Wide Solo two-up seat. The two-up seat is 17"; the solo seat is somewhat smaller at 15".
There is a different feel to the seats. The solo sits me more down in the bike; it seems to be at least one inch lower, perhaps slightly more. There is an obviously lower center of gravity with the solo which makes the bike carve turns and curves better. I like it.
I do not have enough miles yet to know about long-distance comfort. The two-up version has carried me well on 500 mile days. I really expect no less from this seat. I think it has a nice look.
I have been running the tall windshield. With the lower solo, I may need to go back to the stock windshield to continue looking over the windshield, not through it.

The dash on a Custom is longer than other Kings. I peeled the cover off and re-shaped the nose of it, fabed up a new bracket and put the cover back on. Fits fine now.
