After the rains in the FL panhandle, we cancelled and rode to Myrtle Beach. There is almost nothing here. They are having demo rides at the HD dealership in North Myrtle Beach. At the Barefoot Landing there may be 3 vendors there, nothing more. There is nothing at the mall. There is NOTHING at the HD dealership on the south end near Merrills Inlet. Normally there are tents and the whole back lot full of vendors. NOTHING. At Suck Bang Blow, a little action but not much. More rag vendors just past SBB. That's it. We enjoy meeting fellow bikers and having a sip or two...a walk on the beach and some r&r. Its good to be away from the shop for a week, its good to have a 400 mile ride. I guess bike week is a good excuse to ride to the beach.
we rode down on friday, and like you said the sbb had some people there and the beaver bar had some vendors and saturday nite a good band. we came back today. just had a weekend but it was really enough for me. had a good time with my son just the same. one of the guys I talked to said it might be half the size it use to be.
kroozeabout.
Went down Friday and it was a ghost town. Started at N. Myrtle and went all the way to Merrill's Inlet. Had lunch at Drunken Jack's and stopped at the Beaver Bar and SBB. Maybe 50 people at SBB but had a great band playing at the time.
I was there on Friday....plenty of vendors at Barefoot Landing! You may not have gone in all the way. Going back on Tuesday...kind of like the smaller crowds!
