For a little extra bling, I changed out the tourpack hinges for premiums, swapped out stock antenna for short carbon fiber ones and got chrome covers for the passenger footboards.

My stock seat is comfortable, handlebar is just right, stock headlight with brighter bulbs are fine, power is plenty and she sounds great. A lot of people on here are restless and always wanting to improve things, but I can't think of a single thing I'd want to change. OK, I'm going out for a ride now...it's going to be a nice few days here in the Pacific NW.
Some guys are never satisfied. I have a buddy like that. All that matters is you are content!

My bike (set-up listed below) is perfect for me as-is. It's functional, comfortable and I like the look/sound. At just over 106,000 miles I still have given no thought to replacing it either. I see no end in sight for it and it's running like a champ. It's just nicely broken in and I love riding and enjoying it. Routine maintenance is all I have planned for it.

I'm pretty content too with the Ultra set up with really minor mods. Wasn't always that way in my life though. I guess we mellow with age ??
Arizona - original compensator on an '09 with 106K? Just curious.....

Jesus! How do some of you guys do it? It seems like I can't go more than 2 weeks before I have to go to the dealership or bid on some obscure ebay item that I don't really need but just have to have.

Hausguy, Glad to hear your content with your 012'. After some adjustments I am too ! On my 012' ultra, I sent the stock seat to "Wingsoft" John reworded my seat with the large aerospace foam front and rear mods and it's very comfortable = www.bikesolutionsllc.com . I upgraded the rear shocks to JRI-B, 13's from Howard and they ride like butter.. I added a race tech front end kit with new fork springs, seals and gold valves, and full syn fork oil. A very reasonable front end fix, made in America. I also de-cat'ed the front header pipe with American Custom Exhaust, power flex header. Bike runs cooler, much less heat, sounds and runs better too.. I'm running full Spectro Synthetic oils in all holes. I've added some chrome and a premium luggage rack and a set of adjustable rear risers for my wife and granddaughter.. Bike is comfortable rides and handles great for a dresser and I'm happy with what I got.. When Harley irons out some of the issues I've been reading about on the new water heads. Maybe ,someday I'll consider a new one.I would really like to see them integrate the tranny into one unit with the engine and water cool the block not just the exhaust valves in the head.. Best of luck with your bike, Ride safe.

I've stopped adding stuff to the two bikes, happy and content is a good thing. Now I ride and service the beasts and change parts as needed.

Killed the CAT because I could not stand the heat. Had it tuned on the dyno because the ping made me crazy. Engine now runs good but to be honest it still needs a cam to make it great. Next upgrade is the suspension. My wife and I just returned from a 250 mile ride on mostly back roads in New Hampshire. It is very common to pass through areas of fair to poor roads that the stock suspension simply can't handle.
