I went with the HD XM in the stock radio and like it. I had an ipod mount on my '05 and thought it looked cheesy - makes for a cleaner look built into the indash radio imho. It was more expensive than a bar mounted unit but hey its only money right

On the antenna subject, EITHER XM or Sirius antennas will work on either radio, same method of broadcast. I've even heard that Circuit City can install an inline wigit to change XM to Sirius.

I have the Sirius Stiletto 10 and a regular Stiletto car kit on my bike. Works great and it just plugs right into the aux input

Spike,

Like the mounting you did. I'm using the suction cup mount on the windshield. Works OK but your install is much cleaner looking. I mounted the antenna on an L bracket attached to the mount.

How did you mount it to the handlebar?

Where did you mount the antenna? Under the fairing on top of the Radio?

Thanks!

XM & SIRIUS just merged... Got my letter yesterday as they stated that they plan on increasing the channels to incorp. most of both systems programming...
As far as the FM Mod... I live in California and there are radio stations everywhere including all the Mex stations from across the boarder... As it is right now the reception being so close to the radio I haven't had too much bleed over??? But it wouldn't be a problem to direct connect the untis together... Same cable I use for my Ipod!!!
XM and SIRIUS have NOT merged yet..they have only announced their INTENTION to merge...it all has to be approved by the FCC and most think that is unlikely.
