Default abs/nonABS Bearings

I have heard 2 different things. I have a 13 SG non ABS. I bought a set of ABS 14 rims. Can I just bolt them right up and go?

You need to put non abs bearings in the front and rear wheel. The front abs bearing is the gray one as is the rear. There is one abs bearing per wheel.

No you can't. The ABS bearing is not the same thickness as the non ABS bearing. The ABS bikes have a different spacer on that side to compensate.

If you had a way ( lathe ) to trim the spacer down to the same thickness as the abs sensor you could leave the abs bearings.
