What Road Glide do you have?

Not necessarily true.

My FLTRU had 13" shocks stock....

The FLTRX has 12" shocks, but the older FLTR had 13.

A lot more wind noise and flutter on the Road King. I recommend RK's for people who are going to keep it under 60mph and want to save a couple bucks and don't care about having music. Obviously, JMO

The King is the way to go. I wear ear plug for wind, road, and tire noise .. don't need speakers blasting .. can always wear ear phones for music if that's your cup of tea ...

I went from a RK to RG, I wouldn't go back. The Glide rides better and wind doesn't affect it as much.

Nothin beats a King baby. You can add speakers in the bags and or on the bars or crash bars.

I've had both. The RK looks great, but the RG is the clear winner for touring. Depends on what you do with your bike.

With all the myriad listen devices I would go with the RKC. But I am fond of the brand!

I thought the CVO Kings had speakers?

Anyway I like both, and i do tour on my King with zero discomfort, but I'm not as old as some. I love taking off the windshield on a warm day and feeling like I'm on a motorcycle again after a long winter of riding with it on. If my hands could be more shielded in sub 45 degree weather I'd have it all.

I had the same dilemma last year between the CVO RG and CVO King. It was a tough choice but I don't regret my choice and love my King.

Ride 1 and decide for yourself. The RG fits me better however lowers really help with the wind updraft. Hence, I have an Ultra RG.
