Has anyone tried to use the fosgate marine grade 6.5 in the fairing on the glide

Won't work unless you make some custom speaker adaptors. They have raised tweeter bridges that would make it difficult to mount.

There are a lot better options. Stop by the audio forum and do some reading, or start a thread explaining exactly what you want to do and we can give you some advice.

I was planning on trimming the mount to fit the tweeters I was wondering about the depth and the fairing being to bolt back on

Looking at the specs, the mounting depth looks ok. The sensitivity on the other hand is pretty low. Combined with 4 ohm resistance, that might be bad if you're not using an amp.

There are better options for less money. Don't get hung up on marine grade, especially on the fairing speakers. They have a lot of protection.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I'm happy with Infinity Kappa 62.11 . I'm also running an amp RF PBR300x2. There are not many choices in the 2 ohm speaker market.
