Default floorboard BUZZ

Bagger "buzz" solved. This spring I had a real buzz in the floorboards[06 Ultra]-started at about 70,could barely keep my feet on the boards..So I did a little searching, discovered neoprene front motor mounts. Got on ebay and "won" a mount from BKRIDER. $35.00. Installed it,as per instructions found here on the forum[thank you!]
So I fire up the old bike and go for a ride. The vibes were just the same maybe worse. 'Boards started buzzing at 60,all the way up 70.
Well,I'm not going home, the weather is too nice,I'll just ride a little slower.Put my feet on the highway pegs, and cruised on. About 15 minutes later,I put my feet back on the boards, DAMN! The vibration is gone! ran it up to 75,back down to 60 No Vibration!
I'm guessing these things just have to wiggle themselves into a comfy position, but they sure are smooth now. So,anybody installing the new neoprene motor mounts, don't just test ride for 5 minutes and decide they're not right.Give it a good 20-30 minutes, maybe it"ll smooth out for you! [hope this helps!]

This is the first I'm reading of this issue. I have an 06 and had a 2000 issued to me at work for about 4 years and never experienced it

I had the little different issue with my '07 SG. It would vibrate like crazy at stop lights or while idling. It was enough to shake the sunglasses off my face. The front OE motor mount looked ok, but I replaced it with a Glide-Pro and initially it buzzed the left floorboard. The torque on that bolt is crucial and after a few hundred miles it smoothed right out, allot less vibration at idle and hardly any buzz in the floorboard. I agree, you have to give things a little time before deciding whether their junk.

Yep. The only difference I see in the one I bought, and the Glide-pro,is the glidepro uses a 1/2 inch bolt, where mine re-uses the stock 3/8 bolt and nut. And,the glidepro tells you not to tighten the center bolt, beyond a few pounds? [at least the video on youtube said that]

The factory mount was re-designed for '06,you probably have the newer style. I had a '83 classic for a couple years, then I had a '93 for about 8 years. Never had this problem on either of those bikes either.
