Default Michelin Commander II's who's ran them?

I have heard these are good. Better wear, ride, handling. Has anybody tried them? If so what are your experiences? Getting a little tired of the 10000 mile rear tire replacement with the Dunlops. Thinking of putting them on my 2012 Ultra. Opinions please

Got them and like them. Only 4K so far but I don't see them lasting any longer than most other brands I've used.
Dunlop, Continentals, E3, MC II's.
I'd consider your 10K on the rear as good mileage.
Best I ever had ('07 UGC) was with the E3's.

6K so far, still looking good. They seem to be lasting slightly better than the OEM D207/208's, but hard to tell. Seem to ride a little better and maybe slightly better in the wet. Check back with me in a year!

Let us know if the tires remain silent. I have just over 16K on my stock tires and I love everything about them except the annoying tire noise or roar that started at 5K when leaning into a turn.

If MCII's had a thin whitewall they would be my next tire.

Yep, the front really needs a narrow white wall. That part I really miss. Rear not so much since it is mostly hidden by bags. They really did good with grooves in pavement but at 5k now and they are starting to get the twitchy feel going over grooves and tar snakes. Not bad but suspect it will keep getting worse to the point of the oem's as they develop the flat shape from freeway riding.

I changed my rear MC II at 9K but I don't ever push it with tires. My last few Metzler 880s only went bout 7500 on the rear. My front tire usually makes it through 2 rears. There are a lot of bad roads here like the North Shore and I do a lot of stop n Go riding here. I do love the way the MC Is ride and handle. I will keep using them till something better comes along.

I'm on my second set Dunlop American Elite and have gotten 17,500 miles on the rear tire with 3/32" left on the tread. Great handling and high mileage. Dunlop is the only motorcycle tire made in the USA. Michelin Commander II is made in Thailand. I try to buy American made products whenever possible.

the Michelin C2's are great.. if you keep the tire pressure between 40-42 psi you will easily get 15,000 miles out of them. Just about any tire is better than Dunlops. They are horrible.. I had Pirelle Night Dragons on my Fat Boy.. best tire ever!

I was sceptical...HOWEVER....the Dunlops on my 2003 Heritage were worn and not in good shape, I too had heard the Raves about The Michellin Commander II's...Even a friend at Harley parts counter recommended them!
So... I went for it and put them on....Best Move I have made in a LONG TIME!! They are Smooth and Ride and Handle Great! as far as Mileage, obviously I cant speak to that yet, but if they continue to handle and ride so great , I dont care. I LOVE THEM!! I do wish they made them in the "Wide Whites"!!
Regards
Ed
