Let us know if the tires remain silent. I have just over 16K on my stock tires and I love everything about them except the annoying tire noise or roar that started at 5K when leaning into a turn.
If MCII's had a thin whitewall they would be my next tire.
My C2's have begun to howl when leaned over, just like my Dunlops did. Some slight evidence of minor cupping, which may be the source of the howl.
I got 17,500 and change out of my last commander II ,and it had a nail in it Could have gone another thousand miles maybe.
I run 41 pounds in the rear.
...Just about any tire is better than Dunlops. They are horrible...!
I assume you are referring to the stock Dunlops only, otherwise you're full of crap. I got 20,000 miles out of both the last two sets of Dunlop Elite 3s. I'm now trying the Commander II just to see if they are as good as the E3s.
This was my last MC II at 20,000
I put 6000 more on it before I changed it. Probably pushed it a little too far.
I will stick to them until they make a MC III
