That interest rate is really high in this economic environment. JMO
Last Fall the dealer floors here in MN were littered w/ year or two old Limiteds from trade ins....prob still many sitting on dealer floors.
Maybe the time of year ... I belong to two credit unions .. this was the lowest of the two .. Harley wanted 8.99 ... this is with making a very good living, a fico of 738 and not a late payment on my report in over ten years.
Right, and then what? Point is knowing their cost often has little to do with what you'll pay.
"Oh, you know my cost? Damn, ya got me! Now I have to give it away!"
Aint gonna happen.
Knowing is half the battle.
If you know they are going to instantly make 5K on you paying MSRP then asking for little or even big things to throw in the deal doesn't feel like you're trying to get something for nothing.
In fact having this info sometimes makes some buyers more aggressive in their negotiating.
Definitely shop around for best interest rate out there. Just refinanced my '14 purchase from 6.14 to 2.840% through my FCU. They also dropped 5 payments and added life. Already had GAP.
prices usually higher in the southern '48 states. I have heard of a few 'good deals' on a new Harley but usually we all pay through the nose. Have fun.
This time of the year new models are almost here you should be able to find under MSRP if you are a serious buyer PM me I can get you some numbers from my good friend dealer this weekend.
I like to keep threads like this going because they help people with where some dealers are willing to go. I purchased a 2016 Ultra limited low two tone in amber whisky/vivid black. MSRP 28,299. I traded in my breakout and got 15k for that and I paid 27,000 OTD(that's no money down or trade in allowance) for the ultra limited low. Tax here is 4.10% . I know the ultra limited low is about 1k more then the ultra limited so that can give you an idea of what to possibly pay if someone wanted that. I dont know if i got a good deal or not, or if it was worth writing home about.
