tradeing/selling your bike

we each have our own desires and finances.
I tend to replace stuff when I begin to loose confidence in it.
I ran my '95 to over 82K, and found myself wondering when I might have a problem that would interfere with touring plans.
I started shopping and found a few candidates, eventually scoring a great deal on an 09 FLHTC, which at that time was 6 months old.
It took a few months to get my price for the '95, but it covered more than 1/2 the cost of the 09.
my buying situation allows me to do what I want, no financing, no trade ins. But I try to be smart about my cash.
I'd never do a deal for a new color or a marginal added feature.
but that's me
