Default Lighted Saddlebag Latches?

I just had the lighted saddlebag latches installed when I had my 1000 mile checkup done last week and theHD mechanicsaid that the brake/ running light feature I had on originally is not compatible with the lighted saddlebag latches. Any one know if there is a way around that? I really like my new lighted saddlebag latches as they function as running and turn indicaters giving me some lighting from the side.....but I also wanted the same feature in the back of my bike with the brake/run/turn indicator. Anyone have any ideas?

Just use the run feature on the latch lights and the turn, run,& stop will work just as before.

I have the saddle bag latch light kit and Kuryakyn Panacea and all work together fine. I did notice when I installed the latch kit that it makes a difference in the order in which you reconnect the wiring harnesses together under the seat. Put them in thewrong order and they don't work.

I think SGChick is happily married, I remember seeing her with her hubby. He has a SE Ultra if I'm not mistaken.

If you don't mind me asking how much did it run you for the install of those lighted latches? I'm really interested in them, may actually try to do them myself. If nothing else can you check the labor time involved? many thanks

They're a purty easy install...tied mine in w/the HD adapter that made the tail lights run/brake/turn signals, an' no problem. He may have screwed up an' tapped into the line BEFORE the converter, and is too lazy to go back and correct it. I'd jump up an' down until he corrected it - because it WILL work with 'em!!

Install time is 'bout 1 - 1.5 hrs if yer takin' yer time.
