Default I've been had on eBay for the first time.

I have been buying stuff on ebay for years, and have never had a bad experience, until now.

I bought what I thought was a pair of floorboard inserts from seller harley_fat_boy_55, and only received 1. When I contacted them, they said the listing was for only 1. The title clearly states inserts (plural) and lists the part number which is sold in pairs.

I had to file a complaint with PayPal, hopefully they step up and get my money back. I guess if that doesn't work, I will contact my credit card company and dispute the charge.

OK, rant over. Just sharing, and watch out for this seller!

Remember if possible to leave feedback on his profile so everyone else in Ebay world knows to stay away from him. Sad there is always some Piece of $hit to take advantage of someone.

Good luck. Paypal touts they are the safest way to complete transactions on eBay, but everything I've read on the internet suggests they are worthless when it comes to helping out on bad transactions.

Sorry to hear of your trouble.
I never go through Paypal for disputes. Been there done that. I go straight to the CC and be done with it. Lot easier, lot less hassle, more positive results.

Good luck with your results!

I've had PayPal help me out a few times from being had. Only once they couldn't help and that was because I was over the 30 time frame to escalate the complaint but thats because my shipping conveniently took 30 days. Something to keep in mind when looking at items, if it takes them that long to ship it's probably a scam.

Good luck man

I recently filed a dispute with ebay on an item that never shipped by the seller. Got my refund to my Paypal in a couple of days. Guess it depends, but I was pleased with the quick response on that issue.

Hope you have similar success.

Ive had only 2 issues with a eBay purchase and both times PayPal sided with me...money was refunded.

Don't give the seller too much time to respond...escalate the dispute

I have had a couple ebay issues throughout the years. the last time or two, I basically said, I just want to make you aware of blah blah blah and would appreciate a full refund before I go a head and give you negative feedback right away. that worked for me, GOOD LUCK!

As long as it was for a set and not just one, it looks to be "not as described". Wouldn't think you would have a problem unless the add does say just 1.

Always had good luck with paypal. Whenever you have a bad experience on Ebay, leave a negative feedback, even if you do get your money back.
