Anyone have a list of what you get on the "S" that isn't on the regular Street Glide?

 

Special comes stock with ABS, security and upgraded infotainment. Suspension is upgraded also iirc.

 

With the FLHXS you get the following: premium HD shocks, bigger 6.5 radio with GPS, gloss black inner painted fairing, the pinstripes, the ABS linked brakes also come with the special aswell as the security. Someone else can chime in to mentioned what I missed.

I chose the special because in my opinion you get a lot for the money and the price point is not much of a difference.

 

Harley has a tool on their website that allows you to compare the two side by side.
Other than colors , the big differences are ..... Security, ABS, Infotainment ( larger screen with WB) and painted inner fairing. ( gloss black only )

 

JC is correct. But I believe the inner fairing is color matched, not just black. Other than that he is spot on. It's worth it if you can get one under $23-24k. My 2014 FLHX with ABS was around $19,500. The only thing I wish I had was navigation. But I can upgrade that for $1,700.

 

I get not wanting to search the forums for an answer to your question before you posted. Heck, we all do that.

This forum can be full of misinformation, some intentional, but most by accident or ignorance (which by definition doesn't mean someone is stupid, just that they don't know). So when somebody gives you a resource that is definitive and straight from the manufacturer, it ain't cool to call them names.

And if you're basing a $25,000 decision solely on hearsay and forum chatter, you're asking for trouble.

 

Inner fairing on the Special is gloss black no matter what color your bike is. Inner fairing on the regular street glide is matte black.

 

It only comes in gloss black no matter what color, next time your at a dealer check it out. I personally like it with my black denim.

 

The only thing missed I see is the lower front skirt is color matched on a special. Oh and my inner fairing came color matched to my bike.

 

From what I know, (My kids say I'm dumber than dirt)special is 6.5" infotainment screen(standard is 4.3") w/gps, ABS and security, inner fairing is painted gloss black(standard is black plastic non painted) and pin striped. Not listed anywhere on Harley's website(that I could find) is the fact that security system on special does not come with siren, I think only on the ultra and CVO's.
