Default CVO Pipes VS Stock

Can anyone tell me if the newer (11-14) 4" CVO pipes flow and sound better than the stock HD mufflers?

I have an '06 UC with true dual headpipes and stock '02 mufflers on it. Would like to keep the noise down but hopefully get at least a small amount of extra flow as well.

I have a set of mufflers off a 2013 CVO Ultra Classic on my 14 Limited. They should flow better. When you look in the end at the baffle or plug as some call it, it is longer with twice as many holes as the stock mufflers. They aren't any louder then the stock mufflers though. I assume that's because they are 4" cans with more packing to absorb sound. They do have a deeper tone then the stock mufflers. I think they sound and look better then the stock ones. I bought mine off eBay for $149 shipped with the chrome revolver end caps and heat shields.

All the stock mufflers, CVO or others are sound limited by EPA at like 92Db IIRC. Logic, if it can be applied to a Harley would say that since the CVO mufflers are designed for a 110ci motor "should" flow a little better. To me, and its just my 2 cents worth, the CVO mufflers with the Fullsac baffles and screens are a great addition. You get a nice looking 4" muffler can and once you do Fullsac baffles you can switch from 1.75" to 2.5" baffles with very little effort. So you can have a sound level that works for you wether touring or hot rodding around town.

My buddy runs a set on his '12 Limited and they are a bit deeper tone, but no louder. And I usually ride behind him. Plus they look really good.
