Default Redline Oil Big Twin 20W50 PowerPack

http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=105&pcid=19

I know everyone has their opinion on oils. Please don't let this devolve into a "my oil can beat up your oil" thread.

However, I recently bought the Big Twin 20W50 PowerPack from Redline (cheapest on Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/360685485673...S:1120&vxp=mtr ).

If you are a fan of Redline, then this is an awesome package. You get the following:
5 quarts 20W50
1 quart Tranny Oil (my favorite out of the synthetics)
1 quart Primary Oil
1 bottle of Redline Fuel Injection Cleaner for Motorcycles (never used before)
1 Sweet A$$ funnel
1 marginally cool hat
1 pack of stickers for your toolbox

I suggest you check it out.

Problem is 1 quart of transmission fluid and 1 quart of primary fluid isn't enough. So you have to buy more than what actually comes in their so called "PowerPack"

One quart of each is enough. 32 oz for the primary and less that than for the transmission.

That may work for your bike but not mine. About 38 oz in the transmission to bring mine to the full mark and approx. 40 oz in the primary.

The tranny and primary of newer big twins hold 38 oz in primary and 32 in tranny. Would work on older ones. I believe 22-24 oz in tranny and 32 in primary

I run this oil in my bike. You definitely need to purchase an additional quart of the "Primary" oil. The new bikes do indeed take 38 ounces to fill the primary. The good news is the additional quart will last for a few oil changes.

The book says 32 oz. for a "wet" fill on the tranny and 38 oz. for a "wet" fill on the primary. I have used less than that every time Ive done a change on mine. Just my personal experience. I guess that there is more fluid left in there after it drains than moco thinks should be in there. Id rather have it a tad low than overfilled..

In response to the OP, the Redline products are awesome and I have had great luck with the Shockproof Tranny fluid. I think that Ebay deal is a home run for sure.

Just bought one of these and replaced my oil this weekend. I am really liking the transmission fluid. I can actually find neutral on the first attempt! I am usually sitting there for a while before I can get it to go in. The clank when going into gear isn't gone but its not as bad an doesn't sound as horrible.

For the record the previous gear oil was standard Harley.

One thing you might want to look at as well. Never buy a o-ring again.
100 pack of o-rings 100 pack of o-rings

I bought 100 o-rings the other day off Ebay. When a buddy needs one you are an instant hero
