Ive had the fairing off a couple of times.I noticed that the rubber is hanging down on the outside bottom of fairing.It looks like there is some sort of adhesive on it but not sticking.What kind of adhesive should I use to stick it back on.

Mine did the same thing, have had my fairing off 2 or 3 times. I haven't had to resort to an adhesive yet, I just loosend up the fairing, placed the rubber "gasket, seal..." back in place and tightened her back up. So far so good. I'd be interested in the correct glue also as I wouldn't be surprised if I end up in the same situation down the road.

You can use any THIN two sided tape and hold the rubber in place. The fairing will hold it too...just have to place it right.

go to Autozone and buy a small tube of weather strip cement. $3...

 

Thats a good idea ,Im going to pick me up some.Would you happen to know how I should clean the rubber and the fairing so the cement will stick better.Ive never done this before so any help would be appreciated.Thanks in advance.

Fingernail polish remover, acetone, even rubbing alcohol will work. I used acetone cause I had some handy.
