Default Derby Cover adapter on Air Cleaner?

I have ness big sucker. I didn't know they had a kit to do this before buying the AC I have. Does anyone know of an adapter that can be bought? I heard HD has one but can't find anything.

Thanks,
Ian

You may have to rephrase your question? I can't figure what you are trying to do?
You want an adapter for your Ness to use different air cleaner covers? and what does that have to do with your derby cover?
Please clarify......

There's an adapter to run derby covers as air cleaner covers.

I heard Harley has one too.

That's probably not a derby cover. It's likely a decorative center for an Evo air cleaner. they fit right on leaving the filter area open and uncovered. You can find them anywhere - dealers, catalogs, etc.

Reading is fundamental.

Innovative performance from the minds at Arlen Ness Unique air filter design includes a 5-hole mounting system that allows you to bolt on your favorite Twin Cam derby cover for endless design possibilities*

Click here for the Screamin' Eagle Air Cleaner Trim Installation Kit with Rain Sock-28728-10.

You're right, my bad... the HD part number is either 29077-03 or 61400011 and the part (starfish?) by itself sells for $20 through your local HD parts counter. Drag sells a kit also for about $38. I've heard you can use a derby cover, but have not done so myself with the HD part. The Drag kit says, "Matches the five-bolt style of OEM derby cover". Can't see them being any different. HTH!

Here is my previous '04 RK Custom. I had an SE Air Cleaner on it that I simply removed the stock cover and the HD air cleaner inserts fit perfectly over the top of the air cleaner element and bolt exactly where the stock air cleaner would have...

As far as Arlen Ness, I have their Big Sucker Derby that actually accommodates any derby cover. I don't think they have an adapter as this is actually a whole differently shaped element/part from their regular big sucker.

Hope that helps a little!
