That's one very tastefully and well done bike by the way. That's very sweet!

I know this thread hasn't seen any action for a year but I'm hoping for a few answers that weren't covered.

I have an 08 Ultra. Are there any ground clearance issues with these headers?
Does installing these headers help with all the heat given off the 96"? Summertime... the heat coming off this engine is almost unbearable

I don't have any ground clearance issues on my -06. To reduce the heat, the best solution would be to tune the bike. I run Tmax on my 95", no problem with heat.

I have an 05 Classic, same bike as yours except mine never had a factory cat in it so I can't speak to the heat. I can tell you there's no clearance issues. You'll need a new tune, my rear cylinder ran lean.

On my 07 I scrape the headers that go under the bike on both sides. I turned the clamps on the right side which helped but still hit on severe turns.

Plus 1 on the S&S PTD. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Default No problems on clearance

I had a set on my 08 Ultra, had no problems with clearance, but had to take off the centerstand and found out I missed the centerstand more than I liked the header pipe. So the stock system went back on and I traded the 08 for a 14. Sold the header system to a friend and he put it his Street Glide.

I just put the SS Power Tune Duals on my 13 Road Glide Ultra. I have the SS SPO mufflers, 551c cams, and SS Tuned Induction A/C. The Duals are awesome. Removes right side heat, sounds louder, no issues with scraping or dragging even two up in hard corners. Chrome quality is excellent, great fit and finish. Highly recommend these headers by S&S.
By the way, ended up with 94 HP and 115 torque with this combo. Dyno'd with TTS by Bob at RC Cycles, who is the man if you live in the Bay Area.

I know this is old but, any one have exp on a 05 road king ? Doing my aunts valve seals over the winter and she says the heat is unbearable at times. Ive seen a few of these style tuck under pipes.

In my experience no issues with ground clearance or radiant heat, and I live in southeast Texas
