My friend has almost 23,000 miles on his 2010 Ultra and he still has tread remaining but he's replacing both tires (and wheels) before the riding season begins.

7/32 on rear, 5/32 on front. 10k miles, but rear was replaced at 1000 due to nail.

2007 Ultra with 54K on it and I have never gotten more than 7500 miles out of a rear tire. Tried various Dunlops and Michelins; always the same. Guess my riding style eats up tires. My riding buddy has the same results.

I have been getting a lot more miles out of my tires since I stopped dating Fat Chicks. The big girls can be pretty hard on the tires when riding 2 up.

I've been told many times that the frame change in '08-'09 decreased rear tire wear considerably

I had a Harley dealer in Missouri tell me they saw increased rear tire life when the fixed rear pulley was changed over to the IDS pulley. I did that on mine but I also switched over to an E3 at about the same time so I don't know which is helping me more. I am getting better rear tire mileage than before, which was only about 5000 miles.

2011 Ultra with the D407/D408: 20k on first set, 18k on second, just started on the third & have about 7 miles on them so far. Paid really close attention to tire pressures during the first 20k; not so diligent on the next 18k (weekly checks & daily on long rides vs. monthly & daily on long rides). One thing about it is the front & rear wear pretty evenly and both need to be replaced about the same time.

Considering that every other bike I've owned only got about 7-9k per rear & 15k fronts, I'm really happy about it as I'm getting about 3-5k further per set, and the even wear reduces the rear tire replacement costs (one less tire to buy).

Mine always seem to get a nail or a screw in them...

Thankfully I have the tire and wheel warranty.
