Bump. My 2012 FLHTK came without the cigarette lighter, so I am going to buy a cover like I did before. Do cigarette lighters ever stay in a bike, or are they littered all over America?

I asked my dealer if this part is still available.

The stealership wants $ 16.80 for it. Nuts. Is there any other way to fill in the hole? Any waterproof cap or anything else that works? I am stumped.
Yes put your dick in it LOL

The receptacle is for power only, it is not for a cig lighter and the manual says not to use it for one as it was not designed for that. All of mine have had a black cover that plugs into the receptacle to prevent dirt and water from getting in. But the cover goes over the part that fits in the inner fairing, and as far as I know you have to remove the outer fairing to access the fastener that holds it in place. But you might want to check the manual or search for easier ways to accomplish that.

I have seen people put a cork in the hold though.

the cover for the power receptacle in the tourpack is the way to go. little over a buck, covers the hole, and even has a bar and shield on it....

i still have the cigarette lighter than came out of my 2013 in a box of spare parts in my garage. never used it.

A single drop of silicon sealer will keep the cover in place and easy to pull open IF you ever need it.

I've got a dual USB receptacle plugged into it, keep my phone plugged in while it records the ride in REVER.

My stock one ended up laying along I-80 somewhere in Iowa-- Wifey dropped it handing it back over my shoulder on the way to Sturgis lol . Any aftermarket lighter from an auto parts store that fits will work. Screw the big $$ just for one from H-D !!

I guess my questions are: are these an odd size lighter? will regular car lighter charging units plug in? Should I change out the whole lighter assembly with something automotive related? why 2 sizes? anything to worry about if it is used as lighter or power outlet?
replaced the one on my 05 with one out of a Ford
