should I go to syn oil now or wait till next change I have some friends who say its to early and how about trans and primary oils Syn and what brand I am leaning towards the h/d oil but what do I know tihis is my frist new bike and my frist h/d thanks

 

and you wanna baby it,pamper it, feed it only the best....
reality, any top brand motorcycle spacific oil is fine,,,
tip is regular maint. check fluids,, and dont mix,eg. 1 qt syn with 2 qts reg.
there will be a bunch of answers on this,,, but listen to me , or your mech.

When you consider that CVO bikes all come with Syn3 in all holes before you ride it off the lot, I don't think it will matter too much at the 1k service. Everyone has a different opinion, but you're probalby fine either way. I stayed with dino oil on my 1k, but the shop I went to wanted to wait for the 2500 or 5k. I did it at the 5k mark.

 

Well my streetGlide is at the dealer getting 100 mile service now I went to SYN in motor only because the service writer said Harley does not reckamend (need Speel Check) it in pri. and tranny I think he's full of S--T though. but I Will be changing those my self with SYN. I also had a inner prymary leak they fixed I hope so> I will not know until Tue.

 

Just checked both the 07 Service and Owner's manuals. Bothcall for Formula+ Tranny and Primary Chaincase Lubricant. Looks like they don't recommend H-D Syn in the crankcase anymore. At least not in the 07's.

 

I only use syn the crankcase. I don't know why but Ijust like the dino stuff in tranny and primary.
