Makes life easier and it's another tool for the box.....
I bought one of these before I even started on a pushrod tube job several years ago, and it has become invaluable...I highly recommend getting one, even if you don't use it all the time, when you need it, it makes a challenging job a complete breeze.
Stick the top of the clip up into the slider that goes into the head. Using a small flat blade screwdriver, place the blade under the clip and over the cup. As you lever the cup down, push the bottom of the clip into place.
Hope this helps.
QC... thanks a bunch you made all the work worth it ... I was thinking I would have to dish out $150 or whatever HD charges for the pushrod covers... I used your info and was able to get the suckers in ... it took 3 mins to get all 4 in. I literally spend 3 hours trying to figure out how to get them on before posting on the forum..
I love this forum and glad to be part of this community.
Clean and lubricate. I fought and lost my first rounds with the tube clips, until I cleaned and lubricated things so they could easily move. Once I did that, it was a quick job.
