DTT and PhilM

RE: DTT and PhilM
You are MOST welcome Bryan! I had a blast again today.
For me, the personal value of whitnessing the transformation of your face between the time we first fired the bike up and after we got it on the right track was truely priceless!!!!
For those that were't there, weperformedall the initial setup steps to a tee & when time came to start it the first time, it started RIGHT UP! It did idle high and when Byran first gave the throttle a little twist, the motor sputtered and Bryan's face began to droop...... I assured him, it would be fine and that it would tune itself in.... As I recall, his response was something along the lines of "damn glad Istill have me SERT.... [8D]
Then we set out for the first 15'ish mile ride and it sputtered & coughed, and popped to the point I was ready for him to go back to the shop so we could check the timing advance. He made a quick U-y, & as he rolled on the throttle, it majically got a little better... so HE made another U-y and we completed the fisrt run. We got back & evaluated the logs and BLM tables and immediately saw that the initial MAP was WAY lean just off idle and that's where the first issues were. We allpied the BLM's to the base MAP and repeated the process four more time.... I rode it on the 3rd & 4th runs and I gotta say THAT F'er will GET-IT!
By the time Bryan completed the 5th run and came back & applied the updates, he did not even look like the same person (did he Paul?)! He was glowing and said that it's actually running better now (after only 5 x 15 mile rides and auto-tuning!!!) than it ever did with the perviously tuned SERT.
I think that says a heck ofa lot for the DTT TCFI-IID! That is ONE SWEET SETUP! I know everyone sayes the TMax is easy to setup, but in reality.... we have not spent much time on this one (or mine) and they are rock'n pretty solid!
If anyone's interested in one of these units, holler @ Bart (Shooter64) B4 you buy elsewhere!
Did mention... that bike RUNs!

RE: DTT and PhilM
Lowly_G.... It will work (&help) just about any 2002 & later EFI TwinCam. They are "designed" with modofied motors in mind, but honestly.... every motor benefits from a proper tune. If you figure the $$$ for a device (SERT, PCIII, DFO, ect.) + the cost of dyno tune, you're not too far off of what the DTT (or TMax for that matter) costs. THen.... get a different set of pipes or change cams & go back to the dyno.... "There's your DTT"!
Jeep ~ We have not been back to the dyno yet..... but rest assured, we will!
After we were done this afternoon, I asked Bryan & Paul how they would describe the unit, capabilities, and results to someone that have never seen or experienced one... They had no answer. It's really difficult to explain w/o seeing and "feeling" what it does.
I've been studying these damn things for 4+ months & finally got the ***** to pull the trigger on one and MAN AM I EVER GLAD I DID! These things should come from the factory.
