Default sissy bar and luggage rack question

just bought a new street glide and have a couple of questions. I'd like to add a quick detach sissy bar and a luggage rack. Will really help out on longer trips.

I was under the impression that quick detach sissy bars for a street glide, use the rear shock mount and the first points on a 4-point quick detach hardware. And the luggage rack will use the second set of points on a 4-point quick detact hardware. Does that sound correct?

I was looking at the following quick detach sissy bars on ebay, does anyone have one of these and can you speak to the quality?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/130960813840...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

or

http://www.ebay.com/itm/231185344411...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Little bit worried about the quality of the first one as it looks like the luggage rack is integrated in the sissy bar and wondering how much weight that can hold.

Also, was looking at the following quick detach luggage rack on ebay, was wondering if anyone knew if this works well with the sissy bar in the second link I posted from ebay:

Appreciate any info, I'm a complete newb to HD touring bikes. Just traded in my dyna and had a few sport bikes before that.

Thanks in advance.

I am sure you know but the 2014 needs the 2014 docking kit prior years will not work. But prior sissy bars and luggage racks will. I would look at the feedback and see what other people are saying about the quality, from the seller your looking to purchase from. When I purchased mine I paid $105.00 and $12.00 shipping, I read the feed back of the seller, and took my chances and the quality was top notch. Good luck. If I can get some pics I will post them.

Thanks for the info TcHunter...was aware of the need for the 4-point kit, but wasn't aware that 2014 was different..Thanks for the heads up....might buy that from the dealer, or ebay..not sure yet.

As for the sissy bar and luggage rack, I'm watching both on ebay and if bidding goes ok, I'll get them tonight. Quality looks good in the pics, and feedback is strong for the sellers.

I can't speak to the quality of the ebay sissy bars/racks, I stuck to HD for mine. You are correct on the mounting points. If you need a pic send me a pm.

I have nothing to do with the seller, but I purchased my luggage rack from this seller and quality was AAA+. It may be worth your time to check what they have price was good also........ cavalry-fiberglass on eBay. It may be worth a look while your waiting on the other listings. Good luck

TcHunter...awesome man, appreciate the recommendation on the ebay seller. Always nice to know when someone else has had a good experience from a seller on ebay.

Just took a quick look and they have quite a bit for sale, include luggage racks...I can almost feel the money leaving my wallet!

Pic of sissy bar and luggage rack mounting points attached. My sissy bar is tight as hell so it's not actually latched, just sitting there. Sissy bar mounts to shock and outboard side of front docking point, luggage rack mounts to inboard of front docking point and rear docking point.

Roadie13...Thanks for posting the pic, that is exactly what I needed to see. Makes sense now why the sissy bar and luggage rack are two separate pieces. I'm on the right path now, hopefully I'll win some auctions tonight and I'll have them soon enough.
