kickstand on lowered flhtc
Long time reader, first time poster. hoping someone can help with my kickstand issue. i have a 2012 flhtc i bought the burley slammer kit and installed it without any problems, until i took it off the lift. there is no lean angle. i bought a 2 inch lowered kickstand, not enough. i think the lowering kit is 2 in the front and 2-3 inch (adjustable) in the rear. i asked a tech at the dealer (someone i trust and know personally) he told me to heat and bend it until i get a good angle. that fixed the lean angle but now it hits the primary cover. i know i cant be the only one that has used this kit. PLEASE HELP!

Dropped my bike one inch and had to get a lowered stand. First one was a Arlen Ness one inch shorter and didn't lean enough so bought a Pingel and it also doesn't lean enough so I shimmed behind the mounting but don't like it as there is only one bolt on the bottom on a '10 RK. Gonna shorten and re-chrome the stock one. Totally dissapointed with replacement units.

they use to make a wedge kit to go behind the kickstand mount but i think that is for 08 and older. 09 and up the mount is part of the floorboard i think. cant seem to find anything for the newer flh. i dont mind modifying it but its just a matter of getting the right angles so it doesnt hit the primary but still serves the purpose with a good lean angle.
