Default Bus er

Back in Aug I had a question about a BUS ER that came up on my odometer. It just happens when my 08 Ultra sits out all day in hot weather or stuck in slow traffic . Tac & odometer needles bounce around dash lights flicker off & on. Doesnt hurt performance & only does it for 4 - 5 miles or so then goes to normal. Put about 100 miles on it this year in the cold & all is ok. When this first started had some codes P1010, U1064, U1097, U1300,U1016,U1301. Cleared them & they never came back. Anyway took it to a dealer last week & they couldnt find anything wrong. Irritating but I guess I will just have to ride it. Any ideas

Here is what your codes were: P1010 Missing Password EFI. U1064 Loss of TSM/TSSM Serial Data Instruments. U1016 Loss of ICM/ECM Serial Data Instruments, U1016 Loss of ECM Serial Data, Vehicle Speed, Vehicle Inhibit Motion or Powertrain Security Status TSM/TSSM. U1097 Loss of Speedometer Serial data TSM/TSSM. U1300 Serial Data Low EFI, U1300 Serial Data Low Instruments, U1300 Serial Data Low TSM/TSSM.U1301 Serial Data Open/High EFI, U1301 Serial Data Open/High Instruments, U1301 Serial Data Open/High TSM/TSSM.

I would suggest checking your Power/Ground Connections, TEST Battery and check Voltage Regulator/Stator Output, check ECM Connection, check TB Connection, check Connections at the Instruments and check Connection at the Speed sensor.

I've seen this as a Master Auto Tech a lot of times, in most cases it is either the battery or the connections at the battery, if the ECM is not getting the proper voltage it can mess with a lot of things.

...ad if you have a piggyback tuner, unplug it and replug to clean connections.

me thinks the heat of the sun on the seat is overheating the ecm...
