Default Battery Problem

I noticed I was having trouble starting my 2008 Street Glide. I took the current battery out and took it in to get it tested. Sure enough it was bad. I bought a duralast battery from Auto Zone. I put it in the bike and it took awhile to turn over but it started. I tried to start it again and now all I hear is a humming sound which sounds like its coming from the starter. Any thoughts on what could be the problem? Everything else turns on and like I said, the bike started one time with the new battery.

Look forward to hearing from anyone who can help

Loose or dirty terminals, also it may have not been fully charged.

Fully charge overnight and try again.
If it does it again, you may want to test/bring it back.
Checked voltage?

that "humming" sound is the windings in the starter motor getting ready to burn up.
if you hit the starter button and the starter DOES NOT TURN- release the button asap.

low battery current can damage the solenoid ( cheap fix) or destroy the starter motor windings ( $$$)

a 'new" battery off the floor should be fully charged with a battery charger before use

( charger...not "tender")

Ok, I got the problem solved. The issue was a dead battery...and a bad starter clutch. It looks like both went at the same time. I found a great indy mechanic who really knows his stuff. He diagnosed the problem right away, swapped out the starter clutch and the problem was solved. Thanks to all of you who lent me support. Be safe out there and God bless!!!
