Default We got started on the bike, day one

We dove into the project and i must say the 14's are much easier to work on that other HD's I have worked on. The alarming discovery was how many fasteners we found that were not tight. We certainly would have had an intake leak at the heads in short order. The oil pan and trap door bolts were very inconsistent. One would wonder who puts these together. Our goal was to get this competently striped in one day so we could start to assemble the good stuff soon.

This is getting very exciting for me and hope to be riding in a few weeks.

WE WILL BE DOING THIS WITH LIST BELOW WITH PARTS MADE IN THE USA!

1. R&R BLOCK STYLE 124 WITH 66MM INTAKE AND FILTER SYSTEM
2. EXHAUST - TBD
3. ECM CONTROL PROGRAM TBD
4. BAKER DD7
5. BAKER BULLY PRIMARY
6. BAKER ATTITUDE CHAIN ADJUSTER
7. BAKER 1.5 OIL PAN
8. LYNDALL GOLD PLUS BRAKE PADS
9. DETACHABLE TOUR PACK
Curious as to why you are changing the brake pads? Is there an advantage to using the Lyndall pads?

I think there is a big difference. No dust, much better stopping power. They are ceramic similar to the ones I use on my Corvette. I believe the EBC ones are similar.

I wasn't going to answer the above post, but I think I will address it. One can buy a CVO for 38K and certainly have a good looking bike but frankly won't hold a candle to the performance this motor / transmission will do in a good touring frame for the same money. I have been lucky to have fast stuff all my life and I can tell you Reggie's motors get my attention.

Hey I'm good for watching how other people blow through super-large wads of cash. Its called 'free entertainment' and I've been know to do the same a few times over the years considering how many fun cars i've bought, upgraded then sold.

Looking forward to seeing this bad-a Ultra get done.
