Recommendations for Street Glide exhaust slip-ons?
Just bought a new 2014 Street Glide. Thinking about putting some Vance & Hines Tapered Slash Cut slip-ons. Did a little research - saw mostly positive reviews. Looking to have a good, loud sound, without breaking the bank. Are these slip-ons good? Any comments or other recommendations?
Thanks.
Thanks.

the smartest thing you can do is go where the bikes are and listen to other bikes.
( Bike Night, dealer BBQ etc.)
sound is very subjective
choose once and choose right, some of the guys here are on their 3rd or 4th set of pipes...which is kinda spendy
loud pipes can be fun in town and no fun 2 hours into an 8 hour ride, or if you like to use the radio.
I use a pipe design which is adjustable as to sound ( loud/quiet) and power curve; down low or up high.

I am more of a fan of the deeper growl that barks a bit when you twist the throttle. I found that the RC Component slip-ons had the sound I wanted. even more so with a better head pipe. As stated though, nice sounding is subjective to the person listening. YouTube is a good place to start but never seems to do justice to what they sound like in person but it can be a place to begin.

someone gave me great advice, listen to slip-ons you're interested in. I ended up going with low end Rush slip-ons after hearing a bunch online and I have been very happy with them. it was about 4 months ago since I bought them and the performance boost and sound quality are excellent for less than $300 shipped
