Default Just ordered my 10 inch apes!

I am hoping that the 10 inch Road 6 Customs Apes will work with my stock stainless cables on my 07 SG? Let's wait and see!

Let me know how you make out. I just received my 10" Twin Peaks, and may have to buy a +4 clutch cable, but I have been told maybe not. Ready to install in the next couple weeks.

I have an 08 SG and had the bars replaced last November. The dealer re-ordered them for me 3 times, starting with 10" Chubbys, which weren't much different from stock. I ended up with 14" (obviously needed new cables). There's only one person I know who changed bars and having to do it again, wouldn't go at least one size higher. My point is, I hope you'll be happy with the 10's. As for the cables, couldn't the place you bought them or your dealer confirm if they'll fit?

I wanted to go to 12 or 14 but there were two issues. I have a right shoulder injury and after a period of riding it will tighten up if my arms were on the angle that the 14 inches would place them. I had a EVO Softail many years ago with 14 inch apes and not good for this aging body.

Second the State Police will be on a Springtime revenue collection and it s gray area about handlebar height, I do not want to push the envelope.

Another Black SG,
Sorry I passed up your inquiry. Pretty sure the throttle side be ok, the clutch cable might be an issue. If worse comes to worse I will order a new clutch cable and go at it! It's not rocket science and I still enjoy the challange.

Yeah, I could definitely see that being an issue with higher bars. Good luck with the change.

Ahh, i just seen you have shoulder injuries. then that matters. i have a bad back and neck. i have 18`s on my wide glide and would not think to look at them but they are very comfy for me because they keep my back straight up arms stretched out if feels good.

Yep getting old sucks. I have it tore down and now waiting for the handlebar to be delivered, I got a feeling that the clutch cable will have to be replaced.
