I installed 10" apes on my electra and needed to use a +6 clutch cable. I tried a +4 but it was just a bit to short in the end.

 

go to the magnum cable website, they have a cable Gide for doing the math. key in what you have and what you want and will help you. i have not been their in a wile but it helped me. it should t least show you how to measure for the longer bars. i got me some 18in carlini`s

 

I think with stock clutch cable and 10" bars, it boils down to the bar width, as the height on 10s doesn't change a whole lot. My Mayhems are 37.5" wide and I needed a +4 on the clutch. Some of the 10" bars are as narrow as 34" where stock cable length will work. The width will probably be a good gauge if your going to guess on getting a new clutch cable, or being able to use the factory length.

 

These bars are 35 inches from tip to tip with a 5 1/2 inch pullback. Life just doesn't come that easy for me to get that lucky..

 

Finished the install yesterday and used all of the stock length cables and electrics, ust had to reroute the clutch cable and brake line. Now looking for a set of mirrors, the stock ones are now blocked by my hand controls
