I picked up a T-27 at Autozone for less than $5
It's a cheap fern tool but it did the job.

Why does Harley do this stuff. Getting ready to put on the new Derby cover and the screws are T27 Torx!!! Of course that's not in my Torx Bit socket set. I tried Sears, Lowes, Home Depot, Advance Auto, NAPA, JC Whitney, Target, even K-Mart. A Google search didn't do me much good either. No T27. I refuse to buy another set to get the one bit I need. Last time it was the 1/4 inch 12 point socket!! Make it stop!!!!!!! [sm=insomnia.gif]
I just picked up a set of Torx bits from Harbor Freight for $10 (four with 3/8" drive, four with 1/4"), and it has a T27 in the kit (1/4" drive). They have a lifetime warranty, as do all their hand tools. I know you aren't looking for another set, but for that money why not?

I bought a set of Torx bits from NAPA. I have broken several of the bits[:@]. I just keep giving the kit with the broken bits to my boy, who then gets me a whole new kit. He works for NAPA

ok, along with everything else mentioned here you may not want to here
this, but,
when you run into this situation odd size sockets needed on a screw.
Pull the screw and go to auto parts or where ever, and get same size screw
but with a standard head.
I do, works fine for me. One less tool in my pouch.
I've eliminated phillps heads and found all allen and tork head.

Was in Sears on Tuesday and picked up Ratcheting Magnetic Screwdriver set w/ 25 bits, part# 47144, comes with 10,15,20,25,27,30 torx bits, as well as and assortment of others. Can store most common; philips, flat T27, etc. in handle. $19.99. Cheap enough to throw in the bag to always have.

Just for info
