Default Leather or Vinyl C&C solo seat

Going to order one soon & wondering the merits of each, I live in a colder climate, bike is usually garaged or covered.

There are benefits for both materials. Give 'em a call as their customer service is superb. They will help you decide.

I just purchased a vinyl seat from them for durability and low maintenance.

Leather. From what you described, why wouldn't you go with leather?

I like leather. My perception is that it 'breathes' and so your skin and 'crevasses' don't sweat as much in the heat. Whether this is true, or fantasy, I have no idea. Also, things that would put a hole/tear in vinyl either don't phase or only mark leather.

Upside of vinyl is it doesn't require as much maintenance (leather has to be treated fairly frequently with a conditioner). Vinyl, you might hit with vinyl-cleaner every month or so and you're good to go.

I was thinking about going with leather but after talking to them I went with vinyl. Give them a call they are great to work with. Don't forget to get your forum discount also.

Yep, both of mine are vinyl.

Very low maintenance!
