After looking at my new (to me) bike for the last month I headed into the office at 4:30 this morning and cut out around 2:30 and TOOK off!!

What a great time. Picked up a friend and just kept going. I envy you all who live in the warm climate this was a great way to recharge the battery. If you weren't able to get out today I'm sorry and I do feel for you .

Lots of water going across the roads when you hit some towns, really not bad as far as sand goes. At stop signs there was some but the roads and curves were just fine.

 

Got about an hour ride in today after work. First ride of the year. It was awesome!!!

 

I rode for a bit Monday night after work, I know the feeling. It will be great when the snow is gone and it's rained a little to get rid of the salt.

 

How can you guys in Wisconsin be riding...here in Michigan looks feels like mid January.

I knew we got jobbed this winter with one of worse for both snow totals and temps below 0.

Good for you! Shouldn't be too bad with that TALL windshield. I bet that sucker keeps the wind off of ya!

 

Had a fatality here in Minneapolis earlier this month on a sweltering 40+ degree day. Guy hit a pothole and got tossed off. I'm waiting for a while yet. Roads here are in terrible shape....as they are all year!

 

Maybe another 2 to 4 weeks here before I get the bikes out,, snow is *** deep still but temps above freezing on the forecast at least finally. Looking forward to my first ride of 2014 !!

 

Great for the OP. If he managed to get out and ride, here in Michigan it may still be a few weeks away. Temps yesterday morning was -2*F and there is still "feets" of snow around. The roads are coated with salt and potholes abound. There is going to be a lot of road repair ahead.
