Well I have been touring for years with a Exigent cover. Costs about 40 dollars and fits in my saddle guard bag which I would not carry anything else in. Good weather I will leave the bike uncovered, rain or chance of rain I will cover it. Takes two minutes, I have never had a problem with the paint and if its wet, I shake it off and dry it out when I get home. I guess if I had a lot of road grime I wouldn't cover it but so far that also wasn't a problem. I stop early and if need be I will wash off any dirt, hell thats what the little trash can and towels are for....LOL

Be Safe JIM

We use the Nelson-Rigg covers which are lightweight and pack into a small stuff sac about the size of a football. The XL will not fit the FLHX, I just got an XXL for mine. The formosa cover referenced in an earlier post is a great cover but too bulky to travel with.

When I travel I use an el-cheapo silver tarp from Harbor Freight and bungee cords. HTH.

Well, You've got me by a year. After using them on three different bikes for the last 14 years, I see no reason to change. They fold up small enough to fit almost anywhere and work great. I've spoken to the owner on at least two occasions and he is a great guy to work with.
