Put heritage style bars on yesterday

You can cut it to make it work. A Dremel tool will be useful, but it is still kind of a pain. If I had it to do over again, I would have just used the Heritage Style Bars (56902-08) which already have the notch rather than trying to cut the Heritage bars (56569-09). I did try both. The Heritage Style bars are a better fit for the clutch cable (at least on my 2011).

Me too, except I'm doing the 515's (10" mini apes). Mine's a RK Custom and Wild1 told me because of the OEM beach bars I have, there's already enough cable and wire length in there that I don't need to extend them. I'll see within the next month. Doing it myself!
I was going to do stainless cables, too, if I had to get longer cables. And while I like the look, I'll save that expense for next winter! lol One thing at a time.
Back on topic, I sat on several bikes and liked the Heritage style bars. Also liked the actual Heritage bar on the Softail. The RK 2014 seems to come with Heritage bars now and I loved that. Except I wanted my hands just a shade wider. AND I wanted internal wires. After measuring everything I could, the 10" mini apes from Wild1 looked to be exactly what I wanted.
But wow.... Jager's bike is a beaut! Well done!

I had to do the same thing and wish someone like myself would have told me to send the heritage bars back and go with an ape with more pullback....consider me doing just that, send them back while you can still get $ back or your going to end up there later than sooner.

Maybe it is not a good idea but my heritage bars were close to being perfect but not quite. I adjusted them a couple times and one day when switching the grips I stuck a steel bar inside the handlebar and gave it a tweak in the direction I wanted it to move. It worked !! I only moved the end of the bar 1/2 inch or so and did that ever make a difference. PERFECT ! Sold the bike.
Next bike is a Cop King with Heritage bars on already, cop bikes have heritage bend bars. These bars were bent from PO dropping the bike, again out comes the bar and tweak tweak and another perfect fit.

Not Heritage style. I have them on now. HD has some "Chubby" bars, but the selection is limited. Wild1's website has pictures of each specific handlebar mounted to an assortment of bikes. I just received my 513's and the quality is great. Heavy build with good chrome. Should have them mounted in the next couple weeks.
