Default RE: Please help with speedo problem!

Speed sensor runs straight to the speedometer. Red, white, and black wire. They are fairly easy toidentify since they are twisted together in the speedometer harness. I ran a "fish tape" under the tank (on top of the backbone) to run the new wire so I didn't have to take the tank off. I secured the new three-strand wire to the main harness in a few strategic locations, cut the three wires off the back of the speedo (enough to work with), and spiced together on both ends.

The whole job took me about 45 minutes (since I have taken the bike apart so many times already, I have become very efficient).

Good luck.
