Default Damn Headlight Trim

Read some articles on the forum about the Harley visor headlight trim ring for my street glide. Everyone says they have a little gap at the bottom but I still wanted to get one because I like the looks of the bigger trim ring with the visor. Picked one up today and put it on and it looks like my headlight has to come towards the front of the faring a little because there is a gap between the light and the trim ring. Another simple job turns into a pain in the a$$. Will have to figure it out tomorrow

Did you leave the stock trim ring in place? I did. No gap between bulb and ring but I do have a gap in the ring at the bottom...

If I'm not mistaken..... That gap between the glass of the headlight and the trim ring is common. I have it like many others do, but I don't have any gap where the clamp tightens.

I also have a gap at the bottom(on the headlight) 2014 Road King, took it back off twice, reinstalled still have the gap. Have seen a few pictures of bikes with the trim ring that also had the gap.
