Weirdest thing, riding down the road and listening to tunes this morning and then there were NO tunes.
Radio powers on just fine, appears to have good receiption signal etc. Rocker switch is in the correct position and granted I've never used one of these till a few days ago, everything has been fine. I went over the bar controls and I don't believe I've doen anthing to mute it. Yes, the volume level is up and not showing mute on the screen. Bike is an 06 Road Glide that is new with just a few hundred miles on it.

Any thoughts before I go back to the dealer?

Never experienced that. Sounds like possibly a final amplifier in the radio may have gone bad or maybe just the speaker plug rattled loose. It's a bit of a job taking the fairing apart to check it if you want to do it yourself, but I think the dealer should do this for ya. You are most likely still covered under the original warranty.

 

Check speaker connection or speakers...mine quit on the ride home from the dealer the day i bought it

 

had same prob. after checking all i could I took to dealer, they replaced the radio.

I am going to take it in and while they have it apart under warranty, I've got a hogtunes amp and speakers I have put in. There shouldn't be any labor other than the actual speaker install and amp install since the fairing will be apart anyway.

 

Yeah dude, take er to the dealer. Get some use out of that warranty.

 

Whoa, here....have you checked the rocker switch on the console ta make sure ya didn't accidentally flip it ta go through the headsets?

Sounds like H-D finally outdid themselves on software upgrades. It now sounds SO good you can't hear it.

 

Sure did and that's the first thing I checked. It's in the proper position. I was just crusing listening to tunes and whoop... gonzo. No tunes out of the blue.
