Default Powervision Install Question

Just ordered the powervision and jackpot setup from Jamie at fuelmoto for my '13 SG. Question: After plugging in PV and doing install do you have to leave it plugged into bike and mount it somewhere or can you unplug it if you are satisfied with the supplied map? Thanks as I forgot to ask when ordering

You can remove it from the bike.

Thanks! I was hoping so I don't want anything mounted to the handlebars although I may be giving up viewing some available data while riding.

You don't have to mount it to data log or autotune. You can just hook it up and secure the cable and stick it in your pocket. Can put it anywhere it won't get damaged.

It is handy if you auto tune to be able to see it, see what areas need attention, MAP vs. RPM.

How did you route the cable for the Powervision?

I routed mine under the tank. I brought it out of the side of the fairing where the wires come out to go up handlebar. I did this because I have mounted it just to see data while autotuning. When not mounted I just push the cord back in the fairing and its there for later use.

Isn't this similar to texting while riding (distracted)...??

I would say more like looking at your GPS while driving.
