Default ipod and stock radio

Really wanted to add an iPod to the stock radio but I was not willing to spend that much money for it. Here is what I came up with that works good.
$50 for ipod nano
$2 for inline plug with no cable

the 1/8" stereo socket on the radio is soldered to a PC board.

the solder joints will not withstand the weight of the nano bouncing around.

easy to fix, check youtube for tutorials.

or replace the solid 1/8"- 1/8" with a cable. lots of Guys mount the nano with a tab of velcro...

( I use an isimple interface that gets the out to the front of the radio and charges via a 30 pin and with adapter can run a bunch of my iphone and ipod stuff...about $30)

i cracked mine that same way, also using a cord lets u use an inline amplifier, lets u run the iPod at a lower volume so u get much more battery life.

I tried and ended up with the IronCross interface. I've found that it is so worth the money and won't ever go back. It's extremly convenient! Worth every penny!!

+1 Being able to control the ipod with the handlebar controls is so much nicer & safer than messing with the ipod. It also charges your device!!
