Default Totaled bike Oct. last year. Finally getting back

I had my first accident in 40 years of riding. I guess thats now a bad record actually. Fractured a total of 12 bones was in the hosp. for 4 days and required 3 different surgeries for repair. A 74 y/o woman blew a stop sign in the dark with her headlights off. I didn't (couldn't) see her coming and I t-boned her drivers side. I flew over the car about 60 feet.
I'm finally ready to get back on although my wife is not so sure about this. I had an 07 Electra Glide Ultra. I would like a newer maybe 2010 - 2012 Road Glide Ultra I think. I rode one a couple times in a demo ride at the dealer and liked the feel of the bike. Hopefully soon, I'll be posting some pics. I certainly hope the weather cooperates too ..! Stay tuned ..

several dealers have left over '13 road glides sitting around...might pick up a deal on a new one. many buyers that want a road glide are waiting for the re-introduction next year and the left over '13 models are not moving.

Glad your healing and looking to get back on and ride, I had a similar situation in Oct '12. Take your time and find the right bike for you.

I would love to find a left over 13 Glide. Unfortunately there are no dealers within 100 miles around here that have one still on the floor. I have burned up the web looking at dealer inventories looking for one around me. If anyone can find one, please let me know.

Wow, she didn't have her lights on and she ran a stop sign? What kind of a freak accident was that?

I am glad you are okay and wanting to get back on and ride again. I know it will probably be nerve racking for you and more so for your wife.

Good luck and let us know what ride you pick up

Happy that you are doing ok and want to get back into riding. I totaled my 07 Ultra in August but I was fortunate with no serious injuries. Although getting a new bike is a great pick-me-up, it is something we could have done without at this time. Good luck in your search and keep us posted.

Folsom HD in Folsom California has some 13 Roadglides, they also have a used CVO roadglide.
