I used these Polk DXi525 5-1/4" on my Reckless. Had to open up holes just a little. Not too many speakers out there that fit nicely in there. Crutchfield has them for $45 a pair, free ship.

It's MIL-REM50B, I can dig around and see where I got it from.
Thanks, I found it!

How do you like it? I also see the wireless remote that looks good too.

I haven't had many miles with it yet, but the reason I picked it over the wireless were concerns over how hard the wireless remote buttons would be to press with gloves on. I think the way the wireless is designed makes it a firmer press. No problems at all with the the wired remote.

My setup is pretty easy to reach the volume buttons, but I'm considering making a back plate and moving it even further to the right. The included plastic clip that the unit snaps into isn't very thick, and would flex if not supported at both ends (has counter sunk holes molded in). I think an aluminum backer plate would make it where you could just attach it via one hole, and move it right over the top of the factory switch assembly.

Hope this helps.

What I did.

Installed Danny Grey fairing, did not want tunes, just wind protection. They are out of business now though. Get product, not very expensive. May not be bullet proof, but it s deer resistant!

I went with a Dead Center. Thought I'd throw it on and off all the time, but it never comes off now. Sirius Radio is the bomb when blowing through the canyons. Never a skip and no loss of reception. Bought it used (barely) from a member here off the classified's and couldn't be happier. You're probably going to have to paint it anyway, so buying used just made sense to me. Saved a ton, too.

Wow great looking RK........by the looks of the bike and fairing I'd say those gauges are Altitude and Air Speed.......

BTW I put a fairing on a Fatboy a couple years ago.........purchased the fairing from Exotic Body Parts (don't Google that from work) and did everything myself. If you are a handy DIY kind of person you can save a lot of $$$$$.
